Learn a little more about the cosmetic dentists at OC Lifesmiles, Dr. John Cross and Dr. Kelli Junker.

Dr. John Cross

Dr. John Cross has been designing smiles since 1999. After growing up in Davis, California, he ventured south and earned his undergraduate degree at the University of California, San Diego.  Returning to his roots in Northern California, he completed the D.D.S. program at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. Dr. Cross’s two-year residency at the University of Southern California led him to become an associate at one of the leading aesthetic dental practices in Orange County.  In January 2006, Dr. Cross purchased the practice, and is delighted to be working with his knowledgeable team at OC Lifesmiles.

Dr. Cross has taken several hundred hours of continuing education courses and has studied with the leading cosmetic dentists in the country. He is a sustaining member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, American Academy of General Dentistry, United States Dental Tennis Association, California Dental Association, and Orange County Dental Society.  Dr. Cross is accredited in sedation dentistry, Invisalign®, and Zoom!® teeth whitening.

Dr. John Cross enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah, and their two small children, Jack and Katie. He and Sarah are avid tennis players. Dr. Cross has been playing tennis since childhood and has received several national rankings over the years.

Dr. Kelli Junker

After graduating with honors from the University of Southern California, Dr. Kelli Junker (formerly Dr. Kelli Yaryan) attended the USC School of Dentistry. While there, she received the Academy of General Dentistry Award for excellence in restorative dentistry and the Lewis E. Ford Memorial award for ethics, compassion, and leadership. She received her D.D.S. in 2003 with honors, graduating cum laude, and taught at the USC School of Dentistry following graduation.

Dr. Junker continues to refine her knowledge of dentistry through continuing education courses. She maintains memberships in several professional organizations including Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Orange County Dental Society. In addition, Dr. Junker holds credentials in Invisalign®, Zoom!® teeth whitening, and sedation dentistry.

Dr. Junker is married to David, a film producer and teacher in Irvine. Together they have a young son, Jack, and live in Huntington Beach. Outside the office she enjoys spending time with her family, running with their Great Dane, traveling, watching USC football, and doing just about anything outdoors.

Trish graduated from Cypress College with an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2002 and has been a familiar face in our hygiene department since 2003. Her calm demeanor makes patients feel comfortable and at ease.  Trish has two children and enjoys traveling, going to movies, and playing with her Yorkshire Terrier, Honey.

Brandie has been a hygienist with our office since 2003. She loves being a Dental Hygienist and truly cares about her patients and their dental health.  Brandie says there’s no other career she would rather have! She enjoys running, reading and spending time with her husband.

Nora has been a registered dental assistant with OC Lifesmiles for 15 years. She graduated from Orange Coast College in 1994 at the top of her class. She is very knowledgeable of dental procedures and makes our patients feel at ease with her warm smile and precise technique. Nora has a wonderful family, and in her free time she enjoys reading, going to movies, and Pilates.

Krissy is our treatment coordinator and one of our two scheduling coordinators.  Krissy is a Minnesota native who joined OC Lifesmiles in 2004 after earning her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Cal State Fullerton. She enjoys personalizing each patient’s dental visit and is an expert at working with patient schedules to accommodate their needs.  Away from the office, Krissy loves to travel and watch football.

Christine, our Accounts Manager, brings over ten years of account managing and insurance billing experience to OC Lifesmiles. Her comprehensive knowledge of insurance allows her to help patients maximize their benefits and understand the specifics of their plans. Our patients appreciate her warm personality and enthusiastic nature. Away from the office Christine enjoys spending time with her husband of eighteen years, three children, two dogs, one cat, and pet frog.

Tiffany became a Registered Dental Assistant after receiving her degree from Bryman College in 2003. She enjoys the camaraderie of our team and interacting with our patients. Tiffany is our resident ZOOM expert and enjoys being a part of helping our patients achieve their ideal smiles. When Tiffany isn’t at work you can find her spending time with her boyfriend, Jonathan, and pug dog named Peggy.
